DAY 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10

6:22am. My star-gazing days were gone. The stars were too distant from me at this point. But I still woke up to an enthralling sunrise.
The clear morning sky was so promising; I deeply wished it would be the same tomorrow at Poon Hill, a place where I would get spellbound by the greatest view of both Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
Second day of rainbow, my luck had to be good.
Saranga Khola.
Walking through a dense forest of rhododendrons, much the same as the 'Lord of the Rings' trail we went passed at Bamboo few days ago. One difference I did notice was the red maple leaves on the ground; it showed how cold this place was.
Not long after reaching the Deurali Pass at 3,078m, we came to the world's deepest gorge called Kali Gandaki. Well, God knows how deep it was when the mist had it all covered! Obviously I wasn't in luck today. I missed the chance, and I know I will forever miss it, there is no second chance.
Calling it a day by descending the last miles to Ghorepani. Poon Hill station is on our left.
Ghorepani, one of the largest settlements we came across. There was much to see and taste.
Bookshop...
... or bakery?
We make a good choice of buns - 1 apple filled and 1 cinnamon. The best buns we had in Nepal, even more delicious than the super expensive buns sold at the grand Pavilion Mall in my home country. We decided to get a couple for our guide and porter too, and saved a few for our breakfast tomorrow at Poon Hill.
As mentioned before, Ghorepani is famous for its apple filled stuff. We ordered an apple pie with custard as our lunch dessert.
Delicious tuna pizza, served on a hot plate. I'm going to miss these high-altitude food of the Himalaya mountains. Best chef alone can't make the day, you need the cleanest Himalaya air and water source. Maybe I should stop eating pizza back home until my next trip back to Nepal.

Btw, the Hilltop Hotel we stayed is the highest hotel in Ghorepani, its recent expansion and renovation had given us a chance of utilizing the cleanest room and bath facilities in our 10-day trek (in fact, it was still renovating at some parts when we were there). We got ourselves third floor, ten meters higher than Ghorepani's elevation.

6:22pm: My second last day being so close to the Annapurnas. This shot was captured in the comfort of my room window. It was way too cold to stay outside for a view this good.
