DAY 2 | Sep 23, 20:00
Still living in the state of uncertainty, it is possible for Rita to miss us slightly by shifting to the east but making a loop back to Houston due to the higher inland pressure that forcing the winds to go west. Obviously no one dares to underestimate her wilderness.

Not willing to be locked up again in the room for the entire day, I walked the street with a colleague this morning, under the scorching temperature of 37 degree, I felt like being home strolling on KL streets except here was 'no sweat' due to the dry air. I was somehow deceived by the intense heat of the pre-storm weather condition, shouldn't it be gloomy and windy now? A bit annoyed by the sauna-heat, I sheltered myself under the shade whenever I could, but my New Zealander colleague was happily exposing himself under the sun all the times.

The unpredictable hurricane had just shifted slightly to the west 10 minutes ago. We are certainly having fun staring at the TV box following Rita joy-riding through the Gulf of Mexico. The extraordinary strong wind is lashing outside my window now, the Hurricane Rita is obviously picking up speed and coming ashore.

"Houston, you have no problem!" a wishful thinking everyone of us here has in heart. Lets pray for the best to come.
