We love walking far out onto the sandbank, so remote and away from the island at times until the resort and everything else become so tiny from where we are, except the ocean waters surrounding us from all ends. Yes, we are both standing on water, a magical experience. Gentle wave curls its way through before breaking on our feet, ocean breeze touches our face softly before saying goodbye, the only soothing sound left for our ears comes from the wave, breeze, and our breathing.

At Cocoa, we stay at a traditional dhoni boat villa with room overlooking the perfectly clear cyan-blue water. We are just steps away from the whiter-than-white powder sand and the rich marine life almost nowhere else on earth. When night falls, the dhoni sets out on a dreamy journey, sailing through the Cocoa ocean under stars illuminated sky with sea turtles tailing us at times. We simply lie back on our lounger and take in the complete serenity in the starry night.
