Gunung Belumut, the only mountain in Johor state (M'sia) which is above 1,000m, situated in 18km east of Kluang town. The word 'belumut' means tree covered with green vegetation. After spending 5 hours on the road beating the X'mas traffic that flowed out from Kuala Lumpur city, we arrived at the mountain foot 1:30am. Woke up from our sleeping bags and kicked off the X'mas expedition at 8:30am.
