After a night of praying, I woke
up to a clear blue sky. I couldn't believe that the Annapurna
South (7,219m) and Hiunchuli (6,441m) were just right
before my eyes. |

I was like a kid when I discovered
muesli in the breakfast menu. And most important of all,
it tasted good! |

Show you how the guesthouse looks like, nothing fancy
right?

Gurung women with costume.

Endless mountain range, it's
definitely a sight to behold. |

The awesome Annapurna South and Hiunchuli followed
me wherever I hiked.
below. I never complained about the hassle to
take my camera out from my Lowepro daypack. When I looked
at the shot, I knew it was worthwhile.

And yet another stream... |

A stray dog followed us from
one checkpost to another. Believe it or not, it 'hiked'
faster than us. |

No more stone staircases. I actually
found it easier to walk on stone-less ground, at least
I won't hurt my ankles so easily by stepping on the irregular
stones. |

Great view, till I forgot where
this place was. |

More steep steps, I wished the
porter would carry me! I was weeping when I looked at
the distant end. There goes my fried eggs & toast
in the morning, converted into energy and spent. |

Do you know what these kids think
about when they meet hikers who come and go like wind?
A candy, or maybe a pencil. |

After 7 hours of insane descent
and ascent, we arrived at the highest permanent settlement
in the valley - Chhomrong. We settled down at the International
Guest House, the highest guesthouse in the valley. |

I picked number 9 tonight. Looked
messy after I unpacked my backpack. This guesthouse looks
fairly new after a recent renovation. Its toilet is one
of the cleanest we came across in our 10-day trek. |

Germans like to hike in a big
group. 20+ of them in a group often took over the entire
guesthouse. This gang started their trek from Poon Hill
direction (the reverse direction of my trek). Notice the
guy with a white tissue clipped to his left ear? He was
bitten by a leech.
As usual, I fell asleep at 8pm; everybody in the guesthouse
did the same. Seven hours of hike had certainly left us
all thoroughly spent. And I dreamt of stars tonight. |
